Accessibility statement

Last updated: April 2026

Our commitment

IRF2BPL Israel is committed to making information and services accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We work to keep the site accessible and to fix issues reported to us.

Standards

The site is designed to meet the Israeli Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013, and follows Israeli Standard 5568 at AA level, based on WCAG 2.0.

Accessibility features on this site

  • Floating accessibility menu — larger text, high-contrast mode, underlined links, and paused animations
  • Full keyboard navigation via the Tab key
  • Clear visible focus indicator for every interactive element
  • Semantic markup and screen-reader support (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
  • Clear labels on every form field
  • Alternative text on meaningful images and graphics
  • Skip-to-main-content link at the top of every page
  • Full right-to-left support for Hebrew

Known limitations

  • The family map is built with Leaflet, which is primarily mouse-driven. A fully accessible version is planned; all map information is also available as text on the Families page.
  • The Variant Explorer uses interactive chart and 3D model libraries. We keep text summaries alongside those visualizations and will continue improving keyboard and screen-reader support.
